Jillian Bernas wonders what it will take for Rep. Michelle Mussman (D-Schaumburg) to stand up to Mike Madigan.

"One-hundred and five days ago, we asked Michelle Mussman to stand up for the victims of sexual harassment and demand [that] Mike Madigan resign,” Bernas said in a press release after Madigan's longtime chief of staff, Tim Mapes, was accused of sexual harassment by fellow staffer Sherri Garrett. “After today's disturbing allegations, Mussman remains silent.”

The allegations lodged against Mapes come after Kevin Quinn and Rep. Lou Lang (D-Skokie), other senior staffers and associates closely linked to Madigan, were hit with similar allegations of harassment, with the claims against Lang coming just hours after he helped broker the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment in the House. He has since resigned from his leadership role as deputy majority leader.
